Charlie's Corner
Hi, I am Charlie Marshall the Pastor of Allied Christian Worship Centre and I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about what we are doing in Stevenage.
Most of us were born and bred in Stevenage and have many friends and relatives here. We think Stevenage is a great place to live. We are also believers in the Good News of Jesus Christ and the truths to be found in the Bible, however we have found a few things in that Bible that really worry us.
The Bible seems to suggest that when we die we are either going to Heaven or Hell whether we like it or not. We understand Heaven to be a good place, we are not quite sure what it will look like but we get the impression it is somewhere you would want to be.
On the other hand, Hell is the opposite. Again we are not too sure what it will look like but the Bible keeps talking about a lake of eternal fire, worms that never die and gnashing of teeth. It is not a place I want to be.
Not only that but unless we do something about our future state while we are alive we go to Hell by default. That may include some of the people in our beloved Stevenage.
So what are we doing about it? Well... you may come across some of my Angels on the streets. They will be telling you about God's
rescue plan through his son Jesus and how you can do something about it.
Then there is this website. We don't have a website just because everyone else has, this is a tool and it serves two purposes. One is for believers so they can check us out and make sure we are not some sort of weird sect. The other is for unbelievers to assist in the process of salvation.
If you are an unbeliever then we realise that you may have only had a few minutes or even seconds to take in what we were saying on the streets or in our advert or any other way you may have heard of us.
The thought of joining us crazy Christians at a Sunday service may be pushing it just a little too far at this stage.
This website is perhaps a convenient half-way house as you curiously investigate this salvation issue from a safe distance. Please don't bother with anything on this site until you have read our 5 steps to salvation, written by my Angels.
The only problem with this website is that it is no substitute for reading the real thing yourself.... The Bible. If you do so, may I suggest you get yourself a New International Version or you can even download a free electronic Bible (e-Sword) for your PC, just go to our
Literature - Bibles section.
We are not into the numbers game. We want committed people who understand
that they need to repent and realise that it was the Lord Jesus Christ who made
it possible for us to be saved and are prepared to live their lives according to
